Helen Clark, New Zealand Prime Minister and Labor Party politician, conceded defeat after New Zealand’s general elections. John Key, of the National Party, is the winner of New Zealand’s elections. John Key, 49, is a multi-millionaire investment banker.

Helen Clark will step down as Labor Party’s leader, after 9 years and about 4 terms as a Prime Minister. Helen Clark immediately resigned after the election results were known.

The winner group has 65 seats from -
National Party – 59 seats
ACT – 5 seats
United Future Peter Dunne – 1

The other major group has (52 seats) from -
Labor Party – 43 seats
Green Party – 8
Progressive Party Jim Anderton – 1
