DirecTV made an ad that featured Heather O’Rourke in her old, classic line that said,”They’re here.” DirecTV did some editing to blend that shot into a new one with Craig T. Nelson. Nelson said some lines to advertise DirecTV in an ad here.

This ad has created controversy and attention because Heather O’Rourke had passed away at the age of 12 in 1988. Some people had the opinion that DirecTV should not have used a dead person to advertise their product. DirecTV tried to explain and defend itself when the staff said they had the permission of Heather O’Rourke’s mother to use that portion of film for their TV ad. It is a creepy ad.
