Heather “Hedy” Di Carlo, Mrs New Jersey 2005, was convicted and sentenced to prison. Carlo was sentenced to 1 year in jail and 5 years of probation in Newark, NJ. Carlo was sentenced Friday, May 8.

Carlo wrote bad checks totaling $70,000. Carlo bought antique furniture and paid with checks that bounced. Carlo had been arrested before for theft. The judge called Carlo a “master of deception”.

Carlo is divorced. Her lawyer said Carlo fell into debt after her divorce.
