Hassan al-Majid, aka “Chemical Ali”, a cousin of Saddam Hussein, was sentenced to death. Hassan al-Majid was sentenced on Tue., Dec. 2, in Iraq.

The special Iraqi court convicted and sentenced Hassan al-Majid for crimes against humanity. Hassan al-Majid was sentenced for his involvement in crushing the Shiite revolt in southern Iraq in 1991.

Hassan al-Majid was convicted and sentenced in 2007 for his involvement in the deaths of tens of thousands of Kurds in 1980s.
