Harold Reynolds: Harold Reynolds sexual harrassment dismissal

By Clarencia Cynrae on October 21st, 2009

Harold Reynolds was fired by ESPN in 2006. ESPN refused to give a public reason for the dismissal of Reynolds. Three of ESPN employees claimed Reynolds was involved in sexual harassment.

Reynolds claimed the incident was a misunderstanding after he gave a woman a hug. Reynolds sued ESPN for his lost earnings stemming from his wrongful dismissal. Reynolds’ contract with ESPN was for $5 million for 2006 – 2011. He sued for that amount.

ESPN settled the lawsuit in April 2008. ESPN gave Reynolds a multi-million dollar settlement which was in the 7 figures.

What happened to Harold Reynolds after that? Reynolds is now a baseball commentator for MLB.com
