Alan Colmes said he has new projects. Sean Hannity thanked Alan Colmes for 12 years of collaborative work together. Colmes returned his thanks by giving a speech praising Hannity.

Hannity said Colmes was a class act. The duo proceeded to exchange farewell gifts. Colmes wanted to remind viewers that “We are all going to be here on Fox News.” That may be a reassurance that we will see Alan Colmes in another Fox News project.

they should of gotten rid of hannity and kept colmes and they could get rid of newt and put bushes brain in jail where he belongs,,,,,,,, hannity without doubt goes to show everyone just how gullible and ridiculous conservatism is and mix that with his talking points for the national committee i can see why colmes wanted out,,,,,, oh yes im a independant!

I liked watching Hannity and Colmes. I always side with Sean but you can’t have good without evil. Colmes made up the evil protion. I loved to yell at the TV (at Colmes) and now there’s something missing. I never liked Colmes but he was necessary to make the show work. Colmes made me understand why I hate liberals and why I’ll always be a conservative. Light without dark, sweet without sour, ying without the yang, it’s just not right! Bring back Colmes, I need to yell at someone!

I completely agree with The Oracle. Colmes drove me nuts, but now that he’s gone the lack of conflict is even more agitating. I’ve thought for some time that they should ditch Colmes since I almost always agree with Hannity, but now Hannity’s trying to be a sit-down comic – advice Sean – stick to the conservative opinions. Colmes was the comic relief that made the show work even though it ticked me off to no end when he awkwardly interrupted people.

My daughter has been afraid of Colmes’ eyebrow & her Catholic schooling has been & is very Left leaning-aside from of course,PRO-LIFE. I don’t like change,as a rule-so I miss A. Colmes. Ciao!

I will miss Colmes even though I seldom agreed with him. The debate between Hannity and Colmes helped to bring focus on the issues and to make it interesting. There were times I was screaming at Colmes’ ignorance but he helped to make the show.

I happened to see Colmes in a live debate at Regent University’s Clash of the Titans and really enjoyed him. He was whimsical and very astute, yet that was not the image he seemed to portray on Hannity and Colmes. Hopefully his new project accentuates his talent.

Obamunists, intent on eliminating free speech, will be pushing the Fairness Doctrine so FOX can split them, give Combs his own show and satisfy the coming government oppression.
FOX is figuring out how to survive a socialist regime.

Yeah…unfortunately…he does. As far as the “balanced” leaving, well, Fox has always brought on a mix of the left, center and right on all the shows…including Hannity and Colmes. The balance is still there. As a conservative, I do think it is important to hear both sides. Unfortunately, Fox and BBC radio are about it.

I liked Alan Colmes’ contribution to H&C, not only because it epitimized FNC’s “Fair & Balanced” motto, but because he was able to hold his own & could disagree without being disagreeable. He will be missed.

Fair and balanced? How is getting rid of the Democratic representation on Fox fair or balanced? Hannity is nothing more than a big advertisement for the Republican party. The whole Fox news channel is a joke. Of course, the Democrats are no better. The whole political system is corrupt and fueled by greed and power trips. The country will slowly fall apart and go bankrupt. The Chinese will own us because BOTH parties sold us down the river to foreign, Communist/Fascist interests. I cannot buy a Cuban cigar from a tiny dictatorship, but Communist Nuclear China is our favored trading partner!? We carry nothing but a deficit with them. The only ones that profit from that relationship are the Corporations that sell our country out and destroy it from within.
Capitalism unchecked might as well be Communism because it will inevitably hand us over to our enemies. Competition is one thing. Selling out our country is another. Fair trade is one thing. FREE trade is quite another and leads to poorer countries getting the long end of the stick. Our politicians know this. They don’t care as long as they get their bribes from lobbyists. Most of my fellow Americans are LEMMINGS. They root for Republicans and Democrats like it’s a football game while both sides screw us over. The only difference is who gets the money they sell us out for. They fight each other over that money and power, but in reality, both sides are more or less the same corrupt HUMAN GARBAGE and don’t kid yourself.
This country is doomed just like Rome was doomed and for the same reasons. Greed, power mongering and corruption are always behind every country’s downfall and the U.S. is as greedy and corrupt as they get while the deficit grows to epic proportions and NO ONE gives a CRAP about balancing the budget, putting tariffs on UNFAIR trade from penny on the dollar pseudo-slave labor countries while they do it to us in return and the good jobs all go overseas to be replaced by Walmart and McDonalds while our enemies get our money through oil and debt collection which they will use to destroy us. It’s only a matter of time. You cannot carry tens of trillions in debt and expect your economy to work.
In the end, Democracy never works because the people are too uneducated and stupid to make proper decisions while the rich and educated take advantage of the system on the backs of the poor. People cannot see through the two party system equaling the same difference. You have no real choices and those that could lead best have no interest in being politicians. Only greedy scum bags want to be politicians and the scandals all over CNN lately from hypocrites and liars only prove this. We’d be better off with a lottery system like for jurors to lead the country than elections because at least then we’d have a CHANCE of getting an honest leader instead of a liar who does everything he said he would not do before he was elected as you will soon see with health care taxes, higher energy prices and unparalleled debt that will lead to the bankruptcy of this country as soon as China and other enemy countries decide to no longer finance our debt. Wake up people.

I used to watch Hannity & Colmes but it eventually got to the point where I couldn’t stand it. Hannity tended to do a mediocre job defending the conservative viewpoint as he too forcefully “shoehorned” the discussion to suit his premise and often missed perfect opportunities to lay a liberal moron’s argument to waste — instead choosing to brow-beat a guest with a “yes or no?” -type inquisition, when the liberal guest’s sophomoric arguments could easily have been overthrown with some insightful discussion. But that was part and parcel to the dynamic and the pacing of the show, I guess.
In any case, Hannity must have worked diligently on fixing such things over the years, as I often listen to his radio show now, and his debate style seems to have vastly improved.
I didn’t used to mind Colmes as a representative of the disgusting, ungodly liberal side of the argument; but he got more and more detestable and wormlike as the years went on. He reached an all-time low with his unforgivable, rumor-mongering, worse-than-the-sleaziest-tabloid attack on Palin and her family on his Internet website. He ticked a lot of people off with that, it was really beneath contempt, and I think he subsequently lost a great deal of popularity. I Think he even ended up removing that blog entry PDQ, he got lambasted so badly. Since he “moved on” from Hannity and Colmes he has definitely become MUCH more obscure and out-of-the-mainstream. I do not miss him.

Colmes whines and blames with his pre planned talking points that are irrelevant to any extant political discussion. Maybe Fox will bring back Colmes with a far right nut job like Ted Nugent. That format with vicious attacks would be more entertaining and perhaps more illuminating of the causation of the ridiculous social mosaic we have become that exploits economic, racial, religions, and political boundaries. We will never have or retain freedom with uncivil rhetoric that seeks to exploit these divisions. The unified strength of this country came about through compromise by great minds. I would prefer a format with the enviable rhetoric of great minds like David Susskind and William Buckley that battled with ideas rather than name calling and vilification.

BY the way, I am a conservative, I love most FOX shows, but I am not a big fan of Hannity. And quit picking on Sarah Palin! She is very smart and she’s the real deal. She has not been corrupted by Washington politics and she just speaks her mind. Shes a real person who lives in the real world, not like the rest of those jerks-democrat, or republican!
