Hajnal Ban is a politician in Australia. Ban’s height was 5 feet until she went for controversial surgery to lengthen her legs. Now, ban stands at 5 feet 3 inches. Ban paid 19,000 pounds for her surgery in Russia. Ban had her surgery 8 years ago. She spent about 1 year recuperating from her operation.

Ban traveled to Rusia’s Ilizarov Orthopaedic Clinic to have her legs broken in 4 places. Her surgeons inserted wire rings and stretched her legs slowly. It took 9 painful months to reach 3 inches. Ban said it took 1 year before she could walk again in heels.

Ms Ban’s secretive surgery was discovered when her local media in Australia found she authored a book called “God Made Me Small, Surgery Made Me Tall”. Ms Ban used a pseudonym for her book. Sara Vornamen, the writer, was actually Hajnal Ban. Ms Ban said she would not recommend leg lengthening to anybody. Ms Ban said it was the individual’s decision.
