Guy Ritchie gives Madonna 50th birthday present. The present is his consent to adopt another child from Malawi. This child will be a girl, aged three. Guy Ritchie decided to bow to pressure during his difficult year as rumors abound about his imminent split from Madonna.

Once again, the girl’s family is mired in controversy. The girl’s grandmother Lucy Chekechiwa, 60, said that she was against the adoption of Mercy, the girl. Malawi’s adoption minister, Penstone Kilembe, declared that all was in order.
