Updated March 16: Guillermo Lopez, 49, and his estranged wife, Lazara Mendez, 50, had a domestic dispute. Mendez separated from Lopez about 1 month ago and she had a boyfriend, aged 27. Lopez went to the home where the people were celebrating the birthday of this new guy.

Lopez had an argument with Mendez. Lopez then fatally shot Mendez, her daughter, her grandmother and her boyfriend. The names of the other victims were not yet released.

Guillermo Lopez used to work as a cook and electrician. Guillermo Lopez was said to be an immigrant from Cuba.

A gunman in Miami fatally shot 4 people at a family gathering Sunday, March 15. Miami police said the motive might be related to a domestic dispute.

Someone reported hearing gun shots in a home in Miami. A red pickup truck was seen leaving the house. Police found 4 dead in that home. The next related call led police to a burning home about 3 miles away. The same gunman had killed himself at this house. Police are investigating the motive for this incident.
