Griffin Bell had cancer and died at the age of 90. Bell died on Monday, Jan. 5, 2009. Bell was the former Attorney General of the US. Bell served under the former President Jimmy Carter’s administration. Bell’s words are recorded in his book, “Footnote to History: A Primer on the American Political Character.”
