Greta Van Susteren, of Fox News, had an interview with Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari. Asif Ali Zardari disclosed that he believed something which has been proven as an Internet hoax. Asif Ali Zardari was unaware that it was a hoax he was perpetuating by mentioning it.

What was the hoax? The hoax was a false claim that Oliver L. North warned about Osama bin Laden 20 years ago. The hoax said Oliver L. North installed a security system for is house because he was afraid of Osama bin Laden. This statement was disputed and declared fake by North himself. North has clarified he was unaware of the danger of bin Laden. Farahnaz Ispahani, Zardari’s spokeswoman, said that the President wanted to stress that the US ignored the threat of Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden, although they were aware of their existences. Greta Van Susteren did not point out the hoax but a Fox News spokesperson said Greta Van Susteren would include a statement from Nr.North about the hoax and post that in her blog to explain the incidence.

The bottom line is Greta Van Susteren will edit the hoax tactfully and not embarass Zardari.
