The Green River Killer is actually Gary Leon Ridgway (born February 18, 1949). The Green River Killer is one of the most prolific serial killers in American history. On November 30, 2001, The Green River Killer was leaving a Renton, Washington factory where he worked. The Green River Killer was arrested for the murders of seven women whose deaths were suspected to be due to the “Green River Killer”.

Four murders were linked to him through DNA. The Green River Killer was linked to three murdered women through paint he used at his job. Two years later, The Green River Killer pleaded guilty to 48 counts of aggravated murder. The Green River Killer says he killed 71. The Green River Killer has been married three times and has one son. The Green River Killer carried his son’s photo in his wallet to lure his victims into his pickup truck.

Green River Killer/ Gary Leon Ridgway was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Mary Rita Steinman and Thomas Newton Ridgway. Green River Killer/ Gary Leon Ridgway was raised in McMicken Heights, Washington. Green River Killer/ Gary Leon Ridgway’s mother reportedly dominated the household. Mary Rita Steinman was controlled her son with an iron fist.

The Green River Killer/ Gary Leon Ridgway  had an IQ of 80. Green River Killer/ Gary Leon Ridgway  was considered borderline mentally deficient. Green River Killer/ Gary Leon Ridgway’s classmates said he was congenial. Green River Killer/ Gary Leon Ridgway never stood out while at Tyee High School. Green River Killer/ Gary Leon Ridgway  teenage years were troubled. Green River Killer/ Gary Leon Ridgway was 16 when he stabbed his first victim, aged 6. The police later ignored the victim when he fingered Green River Killer/ Gary Leon Ridgway as his attacker. This was strange.
