The band called The Grateful Dead will tour US. The Grateful Dead will tour under a new name called The Dead. The Dead will kick off their musical tour on April 12 in Greensboro, N.C.

The Dead will now comprise of Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Warren Hayes and Jeff Chimenti. The newcomers are Warren Hayes on lead guitar and Jeff Chimenti on the keyboards. This will be the first regrouping tour for the original band members, who last toured in 2004. The former members struggled to work together since Jerry Garcia died in 1995.
