Leighton Meester, an actress in Gossip Girl, was born in prison while her mother, Connie Meester was doing time in a Texas prison for a drug related crime. Connie Meester has written her memoir but could not get a publisher for her book.

Connie Meester will relate about her life as a drug ring co-conspirator, to suburban real estate agent, to author, and mother of an actress. Connie Meester was jailed in 1985 for 1 year for marijuana trafficking. Meester is divorced from Leighton’s father Doug. Her jail sentence was interrupted for 12 weeks after Leighton was born and continued after 12 weeks.
