Gloria Allred, the high profile attorney, announced she is representing a lesbian couple in a lawsuit against Proposition 8. Allred’s clients are Robin Tyler and Diane Olson. Tyler and Olson were the first same sex couple to marry in June 2008 in L.A. County. Allred said the lawsuit contains a new and controversial legal argument to claim Prop 8 is unconstitutional.

Gloria Allred sent in her clients’ lawsuit for filing with the California Supreme Court. Many counties in California turned away same sex marriages after it was known that Prop 8 was in effect.
