Giff Nielsen, the KHOU-TV Sports Director, will retire after Tuesday, March 31. Nielsen will deliver his last sports broadcast on Channel 11’s “11 News” at 10pm on March 31. Nielsen released his public statement to announce his retirement on Monday, March 30.

Giff Nielsen and his wife, Wendy Nielsen, will remain living in Houston. They raised a family of 6 children, who are all married and some of they have kids. Giff and Wendy Nielsen have 9 grandchildren.
