Gerrit Blank, 14, of Germany, was the latest human on earth to be hit by a meteorite. A pea sized, red hot meteorite hit Blank’s hand and left a 3 inch scar. The meteorite traveled at about 30,000 mph, knocked down Blank on impact, bounced off his hand and got bured in the road. The meteorite left a 1 foot crater in the road.
