Geri Halliwell lobbies for women’s health care

Geri Halliwell, acting in her capacity as the UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador, visited the US Congress at Washington’s Capitol Hill. She met Congressmen Jim Moran and Jim McGovern to discuss the serious health issues facing women and mothers globally. The average woman is in dire need of quality healthcare; not to mention the poor women in countries where being able to carry a pregnancy to full term is a question of life and death for the mother.
