August 5 – George Sodini, 48, of Scott Township, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the gunman in the LA Fitness center. George Sodini had maintained an online diary. Sodini wrote about his hate for his bossy mother and brother. Sodini lusted for women. Sodini felt himself under pressure.

Police said George Sodini was a member of LA Fitness. Sodini entered the Fitness center, switched off the lights and started shooting without uttering a single word.

LA Fitness, in the Great Southern Shopping Center, had a shooting. LA Fitness is a health club in Bridgeville, in suburban Pittsburgh. A shooter entered LA Fitness on Tuesday night, August 4, and started spraying bullets.

The gunman committed suicide inside LA Fitness. Prior to the shooting, the gunman did not communicate. There were about 100 people inside LA Fitness. Many witnessed the shooting.

Four users/students of the dance class were killed. The fifth who was dead was the gunman. Ten people were injured by bullets.

No names of victims were released.

The suspect was a white, middle aged man.
