George Putnam, a TV anchor, has died. George Putnam died on Friday, Sept. 12. Putnam was 94.

Putnam passed away in a hospital in chino. CRN Digital Radio announced the passing of Putnam. Putnam was a radio broadcaster before he switched to being a TV news anchor. Putnam worked in KTTV, KCOP, KTLA and KHJ, which is now KCAL. During the later years, Putnam returned to radio. Newsmax.com had a weekly Web column contributed by George Putnam. Putnam was conservative in his opinions and opposed the war on Iraq.
