George Clooney bought the movie rights to tell the story of Osama Bin Laden’s driver, Salim Hamdan. George Clooney’s production company, Smokehouse, bought the book rights from Jonathan Mahler, who wrote Salim Hamdan’s story in “The Challenge.”

Salim Hamdan’s lawyer, Charles Swift, said that Salim Hamdan was only a driver. They did not explain the presence of rockets in the vehicle. Salim Hamdan has been detained at Guantanamo Bay detention for seven years. Last week, he was finally convicted and sentenced to five and a half years imprisonment but since he has served 7 years in detention, he might be allowed to go home soon.

Jonathan Mahler’s book is sympathetic towards Salim Hamdan and his lawyer, Charles Swift. George Clooney may want to act in the role of Charles Swift. Clooney ia helping Barack Obama raise funds for the presidential campaign.
