Children who are born with gender identity disorder behave like the opposite sex. They are confused but they can not help themselves. They are sometimes referred to as transgender children.

Elizabeth Thornton’s daughter, Sarah Thornton, turned 16 and asked her mother to call her as Alex. Sarah Thornton has told her mother Elizabeth Thornton that she wants a double mastectomy and a hysterectomy. Sarah Thornton, 17, is going to be the youngest person in UK waiting for her female to male sex change operation. Sarah Thornton lived as a teen boy since she became 16. Sarah Thornton has the approval of her GP and psychiatrist for the £106,000 operation.

Sarah Thornton’s elder sister,, Vanessa Thornton, has difficulty accepting her sister, Sarah Thornton’s decision for the sex change operation. Elizabeth Thornton related anecdotes of how Sarah Thornton, at the age of 6, showed signs of wanting to be a boy instead of a girl. Sarah Thornton preferred to be called Lee, instead of Sarah.

When Sarah Thornton was 9, she was teased at school. Sarah Thornton’s school mates called her a freak or man-boy. Sarah Thornton took revenge by physically fighting off her bullies. When Sarah Thornton was 12, she tried to commit suicide by overdosing on drugs in her parents’ cabinet.

When Sarah Thornton was 15, she lost her virginity to a boy. Sarah Thornton discovered that she was attracted to females more than males. Sarah Thornton hated her body. She told her parents that she was a gay or lesbian. Sarah Thornton tried to kill herself again.

When Sarah Thornton was 16, she reached the legal age of adulthood in UK. Sarah Thornton decided to get her sex change operation. Sarah Thornton is waiting to get approval for the funds.

Tracy Lagondino was a beautiful teen and young adult. Tracy Lagondino fell in love with Nancy Roberts and because they could not get married with the same sexes, Tracy Lagondino went for an operation to remove her breasts. Tracy Lagondino changed her name to Thomas Beatie. After about 10 years of marriage, Thomas Beatie decided to bear a child since his wife, Nancy Roberts, had a hysterectomy long ago and could not conceive.
