Garrett Townsend: Garrett Townsend died

Garrett Townsend, 58, of Detroit, sacrificed his life to save a boy, 7. The child was playing on Sunday, May 24, when he fell into a pit at a construction site. The pit was excavated for the basement of a yet to be constructed building. Townsend rescued the boy but could not get out himself. Emergency crew rescued Townsend but he died in hospital.

Garrett Townsend, RIP.
