Gareth Siarl Williams held a knife blade to a custody officer’s neck and threatened to stab her. Williams had gone to the toilet and when he came out, he suddenly grabbed the female custody officer and held a metal object to her throat.

Williams demanded to be released from three separate security gates. Williams used his hostage to get the guards to open the gates. Williams escaped from custody on Tue., Dec. 23. Williams has been on the run ever since. Three days have passed and Sat., Dec. 27 is his 4th day since his breakout.

Police are on an intensive manhunt for Williams. Williams escaped from Altcourse prison, Merseyside. Police think Williams may be hiding around his old address in Liverpool. Williams is suspected to have stolen a blue Astra vehicle, with numberplate N125 CEY. Williams is armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
