Ashley Fuhrmeister, 21, a former Miss North Wildwood beauty queen, was arrested for producing and using fake money. Fuhrmeister was arrested with her mother, Kelly Nowacky, 44.

Fuhrmeister was accused of using counterfeit bills in a Wawa in North Wildwood in January 2009. Fuhrmeister and Nowacky allegedly had forgery devices. They were charged with possession of forgery devices, forgery and conspiracy.

A third person, John Laughlin, of Belleplain, was arrested in connection with this case. Laughlin was charged with forgery and conspiracy in the money making scheme.
