By Clarencia Cynrae on August 20th, 2008

Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley were sentenced in 1993 for killing 3 boys who were second graders in Arkansas. Steven Branch, Christopher Byers and Michael Moore, all 8 years old, were beaten and killed. Misskelley confessed but defense lawyers said he could not grasp mentally what he was asked about by the detectives.

Fresh evidence:
The DNA that was collected and tested did not give any reportable results. Defense lawyers want the court to take another look at the case.

What’s the new evidence the headline is about?

  2. Therese Lisieux Says:

The DNA profiling in 1993 could not draw any conclusions. 15 years later, DNA analysis has improved and matches or non-matches can be determined. Since the new DNA testing could not draw conclusions, the lawyer has appealed for a new look at the case.
