I think that it is a sad day when our people have decided that incarceration is more precious than life. Now this young man has taken the life of a prominent pastor/father/brother/son/friend/fixture in our community, for whatever reasons we may or may not ever know; if a father himself, he has taken away the ability for his own children to bond and grow with him. The wrath is upon us, yet we still wish to ignore and heed these warnings. Wake up, my people–that day has come!

What a tragedy. Our prayers go out to his family and his church. We have found this to be helpful for churches trying to prepare and prevent gun violence in churches: http://store.churchlawtodaystore.com/cogunviatchd.html
