By Therese Lisieux on June 29th, 2009Fred Travalena, 66, a comedian and impersonator, has died on Sunday afternoon, June 28. Travalena died of cancer. Travalena had been fighting cancer the past 7 years. Travalena was such a good impersonator that he was called “The Man of a Thousand Faces”.
Travalena had non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2002. The following year, Travalena had prostate cancer. Travalena was free of cancer for 5 years as his cancer went into remission. In 2008, Travalena discovered his cancer returned. Travalena had chemotheraphy, surgery and radiation to treat his lymphoma.
Travalena left behind his wife, Lois Travalena, his sons Fred Travalena IV and Cory Travalena, daughter-in-law Kelly Travalena and a grand-daughter.
In the second last week of June, 6 celebrities have died. Ed Mcmahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, Gale Storm and Fred Travalena.
