Frank White & Rachel Silva: White acquitted for firing at Silva
By Clarencia Cynrae on June 22nd, 2009Frank White, a police officer, was acquitted of charges claiming he shot and wounded a boy, 8 years old. White, 28, had faced road rage charges when Rachel Silva, 29, crashed her car into his car.
White told Silva he was a police officer and fired 5 bullets her car. Silva and her son were hit by bullets. White claimed he feared for his life after Silva rammed his car. White said he was unaware a child was in Silva’s car.
Silva has pleaded guilty to DUI, and child endangerment. Silva will be sentenced in July. Silva has a record for 2 previous DUI and she was driving on a suspended driving license.
The San Diego Police department will decide if Frank White can return to active duty. White ahs been on unpaid leave when the case was still undecided.
