Frank Beamer face: Frank Beamer face story photo/video

Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer, 53, came a long way from his past. In 1964, Frank Beamer, then 7, had an accident. Beamer was burnt when sparks ignited a gasoline can and it exploded. Frank Beamer was severely burnt on the right side of his face, neck, chest and shoulders. Frank Beamer had many skin grafts and suffered pain and permanent scarring.

Frank Beamer was more determined to become somebody. Beamer went to Virginia Tech on a football scholarship. He started his coaching career in Maryland. Frank Beamer joined Virginia Tech in 1987. The long biography on Frank Beamer is at the link.
