Forest Whitaker has been chosen to announce 2009 Academy Award nominations on Thur.,Jan 22. Whitaker is himself a winner of 2007 Academy Award for Best Actor. Whitaker won for his role in “The Last King of Scotland.” Whitaker played Idi Amin, the Uganda dictator.

Whitaker will announce the nominations for 2009 81 st Annual Academy Awards. The Awards will air live on ABC. The Awards are held at Kodak Theater in Hollywood, on Feb. 22.
