Florida’s Sun-Sentinel used an old story from six years ago (Dec. 2002) about United Airlines filing for bankruptcy and reprinted it on its website.

Bloomberg in turn picked up this report and publicized it. United Airline’s stocks have fallen more than 75% down its last listed price yesterday. United Airlines had exited bankruptcy in Feb. 2006. United Airlines demanded a retraction from Sun-Sentinel and has launched its own investigation.
