FLDS Frederick Jessop, Wendell Nielson, Leroy Steed surrendered

Three wanted men from the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints outside Eldorado have surrendered themselves.

Frederick “Merril” Jessop, 72, a senior leader of Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS) outside Eldorado, Austin, Texas, surrendered to authorities and was charged with one count of conducting an unlawful marriage ceremony.

Wendell Loy Nielson, 68, suspected of being married to 21 women, was charged with three third-degree felony bigamy charges.

Leroy Johnson Steed, 42, was charged with sexual assault of a minor, bigamy and tampering with evidence. The details are at the link.
