Nicolas Sarkozy & Carla Bruni touched down on Heathrow. Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall received them. Just ahead of his visit, Sarkozy said that he wanted friendship and projects on the economy, immigration, security, defence. The fun begins from now.

Carla’s mother Marisa Bruni-Tedeschi, 77, is part of the French entourage.

Sarah Brown and Gordon Brown - Sarah will have a lunch date with Carla. Nicolas will meet Gordon and discuss about a possible boycott of the Beijing Olympics. He knew that Gordon objected on this but he would press on and try his luck. It would be fun to see how the high handed Frenchman handles it.
