Fedor Emelianenko beat Brett Rogers to win the Strikeforce M-1 Global heavyweight championship on Saturday, November 7. Emelianenko defeated Rogers in the second round of the fight.

In the second round, Emelianenko landed a right hook that felled Rogers. Emelianenko then sent a volley of punches to Rogers’ face. John McCathy, the Referee, stopped the fight in the second round, at the 1:48 mark.

Emelianenko was gracious in his speech in the aftermath of his victory. Emelianenko said he would accept a rematch from Rogers in the future.
