When there is a divorce, should there be a divorce cake? Divorce cakes celebrate the split and rejoice over the start of a new life. Divorce cakes usually have male and female figurines that denote separation.

The bride may be pushing away the groom, or a bride may be holding a dagger to stab her groom behind his back. A pair of figurines may show the woman or man, kicking the other spouse away. A divorce cake may be made using two separate caked to symbolize the split. One cake may hold the woman’s figurine while the other cake may hold the man’s figurine. The figurines may be shown holding guns, symbolizing the phrase, “the parting shot”.

Fay Millar, 31, the owner of Pink Rose Cakes, makes divorce cakes too. Millar mentioned Katie Price had a divorce party after her split from her former husband Peter Andre.
