Chase Kear, an athlete in Kansas, became a survivor of a bad injury. Kear, 20, fell on his head during pole vaulting practice. Kear had an emergency operation to remove a portion of his skull. His brain had swelled and that part of his skull was removed to reduce pressure on his swelling brain. Hs doctor told the Kear family he had a small chance of surviving the odds stacked against him.

Kear’s family thinks that he survived because of the intercessory prayers of the supporters who prayed to Father Emil Kapaun, who died in 1951. father Kapaun may have interceded for Chase Kear and saved his life.

The Catholic Diocese of Wichita began an investigation into the miracle healing of Chase Kear. The Vatican in Rome has sent Andrea Ambrosi to investigate the curing of Chase Kear.
