Anthony Bologna, 48, and his sons, Michael Bologna, 20, and Matthew Bologna, 16, were shot and killed in San Francisco on June 16, 2008. The Bologna males were allegedly killed by a Salvadoran illegal immigrant, Edwin Ramos, 22.

Edwin Ramos was convicted of two crimes when he was 17. Local San Francisco officials did not turn him over to federal agencies for deportation.

The Bologna family and Mrs Danielle Bologna has filed a lawsuit against San Francisco city. The Bologna family claimed that S.F.’s sanctuary policy was to blame. S. F. Mayor Gavin Newsom and the city refused to comment on the lawsuit.

Edwin Ramos pleaded not guilty to three charges of murder. Ramos is suspected to be a member of a gang called MS-13. Photos of the persons in this case are at the link.

The preliminary hearing  for the lawsuit is in May 2009.
