Patrick Henry Hughes was born without eyes and without the ability to fully straighten his arms and legs. Patrick Henry Hughes was physically handicapped but he was wonderful in other ways. Patrick Henry Hughes made himself do the things that his doctors thought were impossible for him. He learnt to play sports and play music.

Patrick Henry Hughes grew up to be able to use a wheelchair. Patrick Henry Hughes stayed in a house that was not handicap friendly or wheel chair friendly. Extreme Home Makeover came to help him change his house and turn it around for him.
