Evelyn Hernandez Valentino, 46, is the Executive Director of Working Wonders. Valentino was diagnosed with HIV one month after she was married to her new husband, Greg Valentino. He died about 8 months later and Evelyn Valentino became a widow.

Valentino failed to find any support group for women with HIV. Valentino said many groups were for gay men. So, Valentino started one for women and children with HIV. Valentino used $350 of her own capital to establish her group for women and children with HIV/ AIDS. Working Wonders provides case management, free HIV testing, a youth development program and other activities to aid those with HIV/ AIDS.
