William Carroll was a firefighter who rescued Evangeline Harper from a fire when she was a baby in 1968. Harper never met Carroll to thank him although she often thought of Carroll. Harper eventually sought the help of The Globe to trace Carroll.

Evangeline Harper Anderson said she tried to get in touch with Carroll when her adoptive mother related the story to her. Harper Anderson left her details with the Fire Department but never heard back.

Harper Anderson finally met the firefighter who saved her life almost 40 years ago. On Feb 11, Anderson finally met Carroll to say thanks. Watch the video!
