Evan Stecklair: Evan Stecklair charged with sexting female student
By Therese Lisieux on May 12th, 2009Evan Matthew Stecklair, 26, was a teacher at Foothills Christian High School in El Cajon. Stecklair has been accused of sending sexual text messages and sex photos to his music student while he was a teacher at Foothills.
Stecklair allegedly did sexting to the female student, 16 years old. El Cajon police said Stecklair’s sexting contained photos that were pornographic in nature. Stecklair was accused of sexting the teenaged girl for 5 days in April. The girl informed an adult who then called the police.
Evan Stecklair was described as a married leader of a worship group. Stecklair plays the guitar and is a songwriter and member of an alternative worship band.

Evan Stecklair has plead GUILTY and is in court today for sentencing, and yet no news media has covered this. That young girl was called a liar and much worse, and now she has a chance to be vindicated. Please do the right thing, and cover the rest of the story!!!

I’ve known Evan for most of his life. He is someone with morals, a kind heart, trustworthy, is not a predator, but in this particular circumstance, did something really stupid, which unfortunately, he will pay for the rest of his life. The rest of the story is he admitted what he did and will serve his sentence. What people should learn from this is there are always consequences for your actions. With the prevalence of sex in our culture, those in positions of responsibility need to be overly conscientious in how they behave. A lesson to us all…
