Ernie Bjorkman: Bjorkman becomes vet technician

Ernie Bjorkman was a former TV news anchor in Colorado.Bjorkman was fired after Tribune signed on with Loal TV Holdings to share news resources and other operations with Denver’s KDVR-TV. Bjorkman left in Dec. 2008.

In Jan 2009, Bjorkman became a qualified veterinary technician after he completed a 2 year program at the Community College of Denver.

Ernie Bjorkman was a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Bjorkman’s story was picked up by NYT and ABC’s “20/20”. Bjorkman said he received more publicity being fired and than during his 36 years in broadcasting.
