Erick Cournoyer, 17, was arrested on suspicion of murder. Cournoyer, of New Bedford, was arrested on Thur, July 2. Cournoyer will be charged in court on Friday. Cournoyer faces charges of murder, armed assault with intention to commit murder and unlawful possession of a weapon.

What did Erick Cournoyer do? He was charged with the slaying of Bianca Maria Rosado, 18, a recent 2009 graduate from New Bedford High School. Rosado was also a young mother with a son fathered by Victor Camacho. Rosado’s boyfriend, Victor Camacho, 17, also from New Bedford, was wounded. Camacho was warded in hospital. His condition is stable.

Cournoyer allegedly shot both Rosado and her boyfriend Camacho outside his home. Witnesses said Rosado and Camacho arrived there in a white sports utility vehicle with a man and woman inside.

Police are investigating the case.
