Epigmenio Garcia: Garcia burned his friend
By Clarencia Cynrae on February 17th, 2009Epigmenio Garcia, 24, and his friend had spent Saturday night drinking in Nassau County, Westbury, Long Island, N.Y. Garcia asked his friend to leave even as it was Sunday morning, Feb 15. The man refused as he wanted to spend the night or rather early morning to recover from his bout of drinking.
Garcia tried to find a reason for him to do so. Garcia poured tequila, a flammable alcohol, and used a lighter to set him ablaze. Garcia took him to hospital as he deemed that was a way to get rid of his unwanted guest. The poor guy sustained second degree burns to his face, neck, ears and hands.
Garcia was arrested and charged for assault, and possession of weapons. Garcia’s bail was set at $400,000 bond or $200,000 cash. Garcia is a landscaper who is currently unemployed. There is a protection order issued against Epigmenio Garcia. He is banned from going near and contacting the victim.
