Emigdio Preciado Jr, a fugitive from FBI Ten Most Wanted List, has been caught. Preciado was suspected of shooting at two LA County sheriff deputies about 9 years ago, in 2000.

Deputy Michael Schaap was wounded in the face and seriously hurt. His partner was also shot at but he escaped unhurt. Michael Schaap has recovered from his injuries.

Preciado is an alleged gang member when he was suspected of trying to elude capture in 2000. Preciado, 39, was arrested Friday, July 17, in Mexico. Preciado faces charges on the shooting incident and a charge of unlawful flight in escaping prosecution.
