May 18 2009 – Elyse Umemoto said she was leading a double life as she tried to hide the fact that she was a victim of abuse. About a fortnight after the 2007 Miss America pageant, Umemoto filed a report with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department. Umemoto claimed her ex boyfriend assaulted her. The guy pleaded guilty to domestic violence. He was sentenced to community service.

Elyse Umemoto attended a press conference today in Tacoma, Washington. Elyse Umemoto said that her photos were stolen electronically by someone she trusted.

The controversial pics showed her clowning around with friends she trusted.

Presently, Elyse Umemoto keeps her crown for Miss Washington. Elyse Umemoto’s next public appearance will be on Saturday night. Elyse Umemoto will crown the new Miss Washington.
