Updated November 9 – The Today Show discussed Elizabeth Lambert’s soccer play during the match on BYU vs New Mexico.

Last Saturday, the soccer coach for the New Mexico women soccer team reviewed the video on Elizabeth Lambert. After more than 24 hours had passed after the game, the soccer coach said he has suspended Elizabeth Lambert for rough play during the soccer match.

Actually, during the soccer game, Lambert was only carded for kicking the ball into the face of her opponent. Lambert did a lot more aggressive actions on her opponents.

Elizabeth Lambert was suspended indefinitely from the soccer team. Lambert then apologized for her actions. Lambert said she was emotional and that got the better out of her. Lambert apologized and said she accepted responsibility for her behavior. Lambert agreed to accept her punishment.

On Thursday, November 5, Elizabeth Lambert, playing defender for New Mexico Lobos, allegedly fought her fellow soccer players on the field. The grand occasion was the Mountain West Conference Tournament semifinal contest between the BYU Cougars and New Mexico Lobos.

Lambert allegedly attacked Brandon Spikes, LeGarrette Blount and Kassidy Shumway. Lambert was very angry as she pulled hair, threw punches at kidneys, and kicked a ball at her opponent.

As you watch the video, you’ll see Lambert punching a player from behind, while the player reacted as if she was swatting away a fly. The impassive attitude may have encouraged Lambert to further throw her aggression around.

Lambert was seen kicking a player in her face while she was down on the pitch. This was about the sole instance the referee gave Lambert the card.

Lambert yanked the long hair of another Cougar and almost did a backflip on her as the woman was pulled down to the ground. Lambert almost snapped her neck. When the Cougar fell, she was in pain and didn’t get up immediately.

It was surprising that the BYU Cougars soccer players did not retaliate or even defend themselves against Lambert.

    Soccer can be rough (I know) but Lambert is a psychopath, pure and simple. She is so far over the line it’s pathetic. She should be suspended indefinitely from the game of soccer and arrested and charged with assault.

    I was thinking the exact same thing. It definitely crossed the line from a little unnecessary roughness to criminal assault. The fact that it happened on a soccer field does not make it any less so. She needs to be arrested.

    Its about time these young girls mixed it up a litele but this is crazy. aLMOST BETTER THAN nascar
