Edwin Dyer, 60, British, was kidnapped in North Africa. Dyer has been allegedly beheaded by Al Qaeda. Dyer was killed after British government rejected the demands of freeing Abu Qatada, a cleric, and paying a huge ransom (8.6 million pounds) for Dyer.

Abu Qatada, 48, has 5 children. Abu Qatada is presently in a jail in the UK. The British are going to deport Abu Qatada. He faces terrorism charges in 9 countries. Abu Qatada was convicted of planning bomb attacks in Jordan.

Gordon Brown has sent his condolences to Edwin Dyer’s family.
