Edward Richardson, 41, killed his wife, Sarah Richardson, 26, because she changed her marital status to single on Facebook. Richardson fatally stabbed Sarah Richardson, a hairdresser, in Staffordshire, on May 12 2008.

Edward Richardson was estranged from his wife, Sarah Richardson, and she refused to respond to his messages. Ms Richardson was staying in her parents’ home when Mr Richardson came and killed her in a violent attack. Edward Richardson has been found guilty of murder.
